Machine Wash. Air Dry.
Machine washing will "beat up" shiny finish on brass hardware. If you care about this, we find the BEST way to clean our collars and leashes is to soak in warm water with a mild soap or oxygenated cleanser for about 15 minutes or so. Spot clean any remaining tarnishes or spots using a brush (a toothbrush is perfect) with BAKING SODA and VINEGAR. This will also keep your brass looking shiny and new. Or, just throw in the wash and let that baby patina. DO NOT HEAT DRY.
Brass is brass and it will tarnish over time. Use the cleaning methods above to maintain your hardware. You should not have to worry about it often, but if it is just all too much for you, we will have stainless steel and plastic hardware collars and leashes soon!
